Run-Far Time Trials
It's that time of year again for the Run-Far Time Trials! This is a twice monthly time trial race that is run pretty casually, but it's a great way to benchmark your progress on your bike. This is one of the best bargains around. You can race for either $5 each time, or if you buy a timing chip from Run-Far, you can race for free the entire year and every year after as long as you bring your own timing chip (or until they say it's no longer free). The course is only 8 miles with rollers, but don't let that fool you. The headwinds will make up for all that. ;) You'll get to see some of Austin's fastest TT cyclists and get a chance to see how you stack up against them and yourself over the course of the summer. Also, we sometimes grab a bite to eat afterwards, so it's a great way to get in some hard, fast training and then enjoy good grub together.
